Albany 29597 Public Informational Meeting
NHDOT will solicit community input for the priority safety improvement locations along NH Route 16 in Albany.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will hold a Public Informational Meeting to discuss potential safety improvements to NH Route 16 in Albany and Madison. The original New Hampshire Ten-Year Plan application requested to address safety and crashes along NH Route 16 by implementing lower-cost rumble strip counter measures. This is the third planned public meeting focusing on improvement locations and soliciting public input at the event to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs and community goals.
The meeting is scheduled for December 18, 2024, following the regularly scheduled Selectboard meeting at Albany Town Hall, 1972A NH Route 16, Albany, New Hampshire. The informational meeting offers the public an opportunity to learn about the preferred safety improvement locations and potential solutions. The agenda for this includes:
- 5:30 PM, Doors will open for informal viewing of presentation materials
- 6:00 PM, Presentation following Selectboard Meeting
- 7:00 PM, Question & Answer Session
An environmental review of the project’s potential impacts on natural and cultural resources is underway in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. This project may have an effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources have an opportunity to become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Additional information will be provided at the public informational meeting.
