Bridge Work to Begin on I-93 Southbound in Woodstock

Work May Require Short-Term Lane Closures on NH Route 175

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that bridge preservation work will begin on Monday, June 7, 2021, on the I-93 southbound bridge over Eastman Brook in Woodstock.

Although the department does not anticipate traffic restriction on I-93 southbound, short-term one-lane, alternating two-way traffic may be in place on NH Route 175 to allow for construction vehicles to enter in and out of the work area. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds, follow all construction signs and flaggers, and proceed with caution through the work zone.

This work is a bridge preservation project, focused on inhibiting bridge scour. The scope of the work includes placement of Concrete Armor Matrix Components and rip-rap stone on the downstream side of the bridge.

Caulder Construction LLC of North Woodstock, NH is the prime contractor on this project which is scheduled to be completed in November, 2021.
