Bridge work on NH Route 122 in Amherst

New traffic pattern on NH Route 122 bridge over NH Route 101 in Amherst

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the start of daytime bridge construction on NH Route 122 as part of the Red Listed Bridge (Br. No. 135/109) rehabilitation in Amherst over NH Route 101.

The daytime bridge work will require shifting both lanes of NH Route 122 bridge traffic to the northern portion of the bridge while maintaining two-way traffic.  Construction will be taking place behind portable concrete barriers on the southern portion of the bridge. The traffic shift will be implemented Friday, March 10, 2023, and weather permitting, this work is expected to continue until the middle of June.

Message boards and traffic control devices will be used to notify the traveling public. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.
