Concord: I-89 Exit 2 southbound off ramp Closed for Bridge Work
Ramp closure needed for emergency repairs.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a daytime ramp closure of the Exit 2 Southbound off ramp, on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Concord. Weather permitting, the off-ramp from Interstate I-89 will be closed from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm for emergency bridge repairs. The traveling public should follow the posted detour to Exit 1 and use I-89 Northbound to the Exit 2 off-ramp as an alternative route during this closure.
The Exit 2 Northbound ramps and the Exit 2 Southbound on-ramp will remain open during the Southbound off ramp closure.
Message boards and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the traveling public of this ramp closure. Road users should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs. Road users are also encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
This work is part of the $2.9 Million ramp widening and signalizing project at the Exit 2 interchange. The general contractor is B.U.R. Construction, LLC of Newport, NH.
