Daytime Lane Shifts On NH Route 13 In Concord

Lane Shifts Necessary to Complete Bridge Painting

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that beginning Monday, March 15, 2021, daytime maintenance operations will commence on NH Route 13 at I-89 Exit 2 in Concord, NH to facilitate the painting of bridge steel.

This work is part of a contract that involves the painting of structural steel on six bridges on and above I-89 between Exit 2 and Exit 5 in Concord and Hopkinton.  Once the work on Route 13 at Exit 2 is complete, work will begin at the other locations, including the Jewett Road bridges near Exit 4, and the South Road bridges near Exit 5.   Temporary traffic signals will be used at these two locations to maintain one lane of alternating two-way traffic.  The work will be done during the day and evening and may be delayed by weather events.

This work is part of the $1,418,950.00 Concord and Hopkinton 41703 project. Modern Protective Coatings, Inc. of Hudson, NH is the prime contractor for the project, which is scheduled to be completed in December, 2021.
