Daytime Traffic Lane Closures in Harrisville
Traffic will be impacted for approximately 3 weeks
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin daytime roadwork in Harrisville, affecting Main Street, Dublin Road, Nelson Road, Breed Road, and Chesham Road. This project will include pre-paving operations followed by the final pavement overlay.
Weather permitting, roadwork is set to begin on Monday, June 16, 2025, and continue through Thursday, July 3, 2025, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
This project will require temporary lane closures, with one travel lane remaining open to accommodate alternating traffic flow. The second lane will be closed during daytime work hours to support a mobile work zone.
To ensure safety and minimize disruptions, certified flaggers and traffic control devices will be in place to guide motorists and notify the traveling public. Road Users are urged to use caution, obey posted signs, and anticipate possible delays while crews complete the work.
This work is part of the district 2, 3, 4 resurfacing projects within the towns of Harrisville, Deering, Cornish, Hill, Lempster, New London, Ashland, Alstead, Newport, and Danbury. Pike Industries, Inc. of Belmont, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $6.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2025.
