Lane Closures on I-93 NB and SB at Hooksett Tolls
Traffic will be impacted on I-93 Southbound
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin preconstruction work on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 11:00pm, changing overhead signs southbound and northbound for High-Speed toll lane closures. Hooksett northbound High-Speed toll lanes will be permanently closed by 5:00am on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, all traffic will utilize the Toll Plaza.
On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, between the hours of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM lane reconfigurations will take place on I-93 Southbound just north of the Hooksett Tolls.
This work will require the closure of two lanes of I-93 southbound and will include grinding and restriping the southbound travel lanes to shift traffic away from the highspeed toll lanes into the traditional toll lanes.
The preconstruction work is being done to support the replacement of the Open Road Tolling (ORT) system equipment that is expected to take approximately two months with an anticipated reopening prior to Memorial Day 2025. All traffic will be directed through the traditional cash and E-ZPass lanes within the barrier plaza.
Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices, and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the travelling public. Expect delays during the work hours as traffic will be in one lane in order to complete the work.
