New Traffic Pattern on Route 101 in Bedford

A new traffic pattern will be implemented on NH 101 during the week of 6/13/22.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the implementation of a new traffic pattern as part of the NH Route 101 Red Listed Bridge replacement at Pulpit Brook in Bedford. Weather permitting, daytime paving of the temporary traffic diversion will begin on Tuesday 6/14, and it is anticipated that traffic will be switched onto the temporary traffic diversion by the end of the day Thursday 6/16. Traffic will remain on the diversion until this Fall.

The temporary traffic diversion paving/preparation and traffic switch efforts will require the continued utilization of one-way alternating traffic between the hours of 8:30 am to 3:00 pm from mile marker 46.4 to 47.4.

Message boards and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the traveling public of further traffic pattern modifications. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

This work is part of the $5.4 million State of NH Red Listed bridge replacement on NH 101 over Pulpit Brook in Bedford with a completion date of July 14th, 2023.  The general contractor is R.M. Piper, Inc. of Plymouth, NH.
