North Hampton 43938 & 24457 Public Officials Meeting

NHDOT will Discuss the North Hampton 43938 Rt 1 culvert replacement project, as well as provide an update of the North Hampton 24457 Rt 1 Bridge project.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will hold a Public Officials/Informational Meeting to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed replacement of the stone box culvert carrying Little River under Rt 1 in North Hampton. The culvert replacement project is located approximately 1000 feet south of the North Road intersection and the North Hampton 24457 Rt 1 Bridge project.   
   
The meeting will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 7:00 pm as part of the regularly scheduled Selectboard meeting at the North Hampton Town Hall located at 237A Atlantic Avenue in North Hampton.  The purpose of this meeting is to discuss each project’s constraints, challenges, and anticipated impacts. The meeting will provide an opportunity to brief the public on the decisions and solicit public input to ensure that project decisions meet purpose and need, as well as protect and enhance the environment.   
   
An environmental review of the project’s potential impacts on natural and cultural resources is underway in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.  This project may have an effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources have an opportunity to become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.  Additional information will be provided at the public informational meeting.
