Paving Work on Route 11 in Claremont and Newport

Temporary lane closures will be required during the day for three weeks.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will continue pavement preservation work on Monday, May 22, 2023 on Route 11 on four miles of pavement from Old Newport Road in Claremont, easterly to just west of Ayers Road in Newport.

This work is anticipated to take three weeks, weather permitting, to complete.  Daytime alternating one-way traffic and shoulder closures will be utilized to finish paving of shoulders and completion of shoulder gravel.  Message boards will be used to notify the traveling public of ongoing construction activities. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and follow all posted signs.

Motorists are also encouraged to sign up for free, real-time traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.

Eurovia Atlantic Coast (Northeast Paving) is the contractor for the $7.5 million dollar project.
