Road Closure and Detour on Rt 119 in Richmond.

Traffic will be detoured through June 12, 2025.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) began an emergency culvert replacement on NH Route 119 in Richmond on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM. To complete this work, NH 119 will be closed in the area of 430 Fitzwilliam Road and will remain closed to through traffic until Thursday, June 12, 2025. 

The closure affects the section of NH 119 between Monument Road and Tully Brook Road. A signed detour will be in place to guide drivers safely around the work zone. 

•    Westbound Detour: Traffic will be directed to follow NH 12 north from Fitzwilliam to Flat Roof Mill Road in Swanzey, then South Road to NH 32 south, and back to NH 119 in Richmond. 
•    Eastbound Detour: Traffic will be directed to follow NH 32 north from Richmond to South Road in Swanzey, then Flat Roof Mill Road to NH 12 south, and back to NH 119 in Fitzwilliam. 

Road Users should remain alert, follow all posted signage, and use caution when traveling near the construction zone.
