Temporary Closure of Exit 11 Northbound Off-Ramp on I-89 in New London
Road users will be detoured for five days beginning on Monday, August 5, 2024.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will temporarily close the Exit 11 northbound off-ramp on I-89 in New London to remove, widen and replace the existing pavement.
Weather permitting, the work will begin on Monday, August 5, 2024, and the off-ramp will be fully closed for five days. Travelers planning to use the Exit 11 northbound off-ramp will be re-routed via a signed detour at Exit 10 to NH Route 114, to NH Route 11 and back to I-89 to Exit 11, or to Exit 12, to reverse direction south to Exit 11.
The remaining on and off-ramps at the I-89 Exit 11 interchange will also be closed for resurfacing in a similar manner in the next few weeks. Work will be performed on one ramp at a time.
Road users are encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
Weaver Brothers Construction of Bow, NH is the prime contractor for this $15 million Tier 1 multi-section resurfacing project, which is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2024.
