Temporary Ramp Closure at Exit 10 on the Everett Turnpike in Merrimack

F.E. Everett Turnpike Exit 10 Southbound On-Ramp at Industrial Drive will be closed for several hours on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the temporary closure of F.E. Everett Turnpike southbound Exit 10 on-ramp on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, to remove the toll plaza canopy.

The work is weather permitting and the ramp may reopen sooner than 3:00 pm if it is safe to do so.

Southbound Turnpike on-ramp traffic at Industrial Drive will be detoured to northbound on the Turnpike to Exit 11, where travelers can follow detour signs that return them to travel southbound on the Turnpike.

Lane closures and rolling road blocks will be utilized on the southbound lanes of the Turnpike due to the location of the toll plaza canopy, which is adjacent to the low speed travel lane and shoulder.

Message boards and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the traveling public of further traffic pattern modifications. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

This work is part of the $939,542.50 F.E. Everett Turnpike Exit 10 toll booth removal project, which is scheduled to be completed by November 18, 2022. The general contractor is R.M. Piper, of Plymouth, NH.
