Pavement Section
The Pavement Section of the Bureau of Highway Design is responsible for developing paving related projects from inception (field review and roadway section selection) to advertising to fulfill the Department’s commitment to improving and maintaining the riding surface of the State’s managed highways.
The section coordinates closely with the Pavement Management Section of the Bureau of Materials and Research, other NHDOT Bureaus, and various public and private entities to facilitate the construction of the Department’s paving program. The section also works with consultant firms through all aspects of the Department's project development process. This section is generally involved in advertising projects for bids, including design support through the construction phase.
