NHDOT will discuss proposed bridge work on Route 122

Arrangements have been made by the Department for a presentation at the Town of Amherst Board of Selectman meeting to discuss the rehabilitation of a Red Listed bridge carrying NH 122 over NH 101 in Amherst, NH.  The scope of work involves bridge rehabilitation and cleaning and painting of the structural steel. The bridge rehabilitation work will be done in three phases while maintaining two lanes of traffic on NH 122 and full access to NH 101 interchange on-ramps and off-ramps. Duration of work will be approximately 10 months.

The presentation is scheduled for Monday, April 12, 2021 at 6:30 pm via the Board of Selectman virtual Zoom link. The meeting link will be located in the Board of Selectman Meeting Agenda Packet located on their webpage at https://www.amherstnh.gov/amherst-board-selectmen.

The purpose of this meeting is to present to the Town Officials and citizens with information regarding the bridge rehabilitation. Following the meeting, the public will be given opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts regarding the bridge rehabilitation work. The goal is to ensure that the project decisions meet public transportation needs and community goals and protect and enhance the environment.  Accordingly, NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.
