Belmont 43352 Public Officials Meeting

NHDOT will present the alternatives for the NH 140 (Depot Street) and Main Street intersection to the Selectboard and Town Staff.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will hold a Public Officials Meeting to present public officials the project existing conditions, design constraints, and potential alternatives to solicit public input ensuring project decisions meet public transportation needs and community goals and protect and enhance the environment.  The limits of work for each approach to the intersection will depend on the preferred alternative. 
  
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 10:00am, at the Belmont Town Hall, 143 Main Street in Belmont.   
  
An environmental review of the project’s potential impacts on natural and cultural resources is underway in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.  This project may have an effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in the potential impacts to historic resources have an opportunity to become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.  Additional information will be provided at the public informational meeting.
