Bridge Inspection on Route 1B in Rye-New Castle
The work will close a section of the road for four hours.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will temporarily close the New Castle bascule lift bridge on NH Route 1B over the Piscataqua Estuary on Monday, August 21, 2023 to conduct an inspection of the structure.
Weather permitting, the closure is anticipated to begin at 8 am and last for four hours. Message boards and traffic control devices will be used to direct and inform local traffic.
