Bridge Work on I-89 in Lebanon

Temporary lane closures will be required during the next two weeks.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that work on the Connecticut River bridges on Interstate 89 between Lebanon, NH, and Hartford, VT, will require temporary lane closures near the bridges and the Exit 20 area during the next two weeks.

Weather permitting, construction crews will be adding the structural steel that will require daytime lane closures on the I-89 northbound highway, from Exit 20 to the Vermont state line.  This work will begin Monday, December 12, 2022, and continue until Thursday, December 15, 2022.  Construction work will resume Monday, December 19, 2022, until Thursday, December 22, 2022.  The duration of the lane closures will vary by the day but will generally occur from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and will restrict motorists to one lane.

Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices, and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the traveling public. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

R.S. Audley of Bow, NH is the prime contractor for this project which is scheduled to be completed in September 2025.
