Bridge Work on I-93 in Campton

Two-year preservation project will impact travelers, northbound and southbound, between exits 27 and 28.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the continuation of the preservation of five bridges on I-93 in Campton between exits 27 and 28.

The northbound bridges currently under rehabilitation are progressing towards an early summer completion.

On southbound I-93, work on the bridge over the Mad River has commenced with the left lane closed in the immediate work area. On Friday, June 16, 2023 (weather permitting), the southbound left lane closure will be extended (between exits 28 and 27) to allow for work to commence on the bridges over the Pemigewasset River/Route 3 and Blair Road. This lengthy closure will be utilized to promote the safety of the workers and motorists while also providing for the best possible uninterrupted travel experience through the project. Travelers should be prepared for possible delays traveling through this area during peak traffic volume times. The speed limit will be reduced to 60 MPH for the duration of construction activities.

Additionally, Blair Road (at exit 27) will utilize daily alternating traffic controlled by flaggers for up to a two-week period in August for stone facia repairs.

Motorists are encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/
