Bridge Work on Route 111A in Fremont

One lane will be closed for several weeks

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) bridge maintenance crews have closed one lane on the bridge that carries Route 111A in Fremont over the Exeter River to perform maintenance work.

During the performance of routine bridge maintenance an issue was identified that will require restricting travel to a single lane to provide a safe operating environment for workers to make repairs to the bridge.

One lane will remain open and alternating traffic will be controlled by a temporary signalized traffic control system.  The lane closure is anticipated to continue for the next several weeks while workers are in the area.

Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone , allow for additional time to travel through the area, and obey all posted signs.
