Conway 40638 Public Hearing

The hearing will discuss proposed improvements to several intersections on Route 16.

Under NH RSA 230:14 and Public Law 100-17 (Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation Assistance Act of 1987), a public hearing has been set to discuss the proposal that will involve the improvement of safety, increase capacity, and address operational deficiencies at the NH Route 16/NH Route 153 and NH Route 16/NH Route 113 intersections. The project includes reconstruction of the roadway and sidewalks along NH Route 16, upgrade of the NH Route 16/NH Route 153 traffic signal, and realignment of the NH Route 16/NH Route 113 intersection.

This Notice of Public Hearing is provided pursuant to NH RSA 230:17. Interested landowners, local officials, and highway users are invited to attend the hearing and will have the opportunity to express their comments relative to the project.

On July 19, 2023, the Governor and Executive Council approved the petition of the NH Department of Transportation to convene a public hearing to determine whether there is an occasion for the laying out of this project and acquiring necessary rights-of-way. A Commission of Three Persons was appointed to conduct the hearing and its members are Jac Cuddy, Theresa Kennett, and Shane McKinney.
