Geotechnical Work on NH 135 in Bath

Temporary Traffic Disruption and One-Day Road Closure

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation has begun geotechnical work on NH 135 in Bath that will result in temporary traffic delays and a one-day road closure on either Wednesday, May 11, 2022, or Thursday May 12, 2022, between 7 am and 3 pm. The work site is located approximately 3,700 ft north of US 302.

Temporary traffic disruptions will consist of less than one-minute delays to facilitate moving equipment and staging. The necessary road closure will be due to a boring located in the current lane for the alternating one-way traffic. The road closure will start at 7 am and should finish by 3 pm. The current plan is for the closure to be either Wednesday, May 11, 2022 or Thursday, May 12 depending on boring progress.

The geotechnical work is part of the design for a retaining wall/road rehabilitation project.
