New Traffic Pattern on Route 101 in Bedford

A new traffic pattern will be implemented on Route 101 during the week beginning November 21, 2022.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the implementation of a new traffic pattern as part of the NH Route 101 Red Listed Bridge (Br. No. 090/065) replacement in Bedford. Weather permitting, daytime paving of the new temporary traffic configuration will begin on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, and it is anticipated that traffic will be switched onto the temporary traffic diversion by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Traffic will be following this new pattern until further notice.

The surface preparation, paving and traffic switch efforts will require the continued utilization of one lane of alternating two-way traffic between the hours of 8:30 am to 3:00 pm from mile marker 46.4 to 47.4.

Message boards and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the traveling public of the changes.  Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

This work is part of the $5.4 million State of NH Red Listed bridge replacement on NH Route 101 over Pulpit Brook in Bedford with a completion date of July 14, 2023.  The general contractor is R.M. Piper of Plymouth, NH.
