NHDOT Announces Supermove Beginning 2/28/21

Traffic In Portsmouth to Seabrook Along Route Will be Impacted for 4 Nights.

Concord, NH - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned nighttime “Supermove(s)” to transport precast concrete forms from Portsmouth, NH to Seabrook, NH.

The Supermove will take place over the course of four nights beginning Sunday, February 28, 2021 through Thursday/Friday, March 4/5, 2021 from 9:00pm to 5:00am, weather permitting. This move required substantial review from NHDOT’s Bridge Design and Highway Maintenance Bureaus, in partnership with State and local police and the towns/municipalities along the planned route. The Supermove has been coordinated in such a manner to reduce potential impacts to the traveling public, however, lane closures will be necessary at various locations along the route. This “moving roadblock” will require traffic to be delayed and/or making allowances to pass as frequently as possible along the designated route. State maintained highways and local roads impacted by the “Supermove” include: Maplewood Avenue, Middle Street, Middle Road, NH Route 33, NH Route 108, NH Route 88, NH Route 27, Liberty Lane, US 1, North Access Road, and Provident Way.

The private company contracted for the move is Central Jersey Trucking and Rigging Inc. of Bridgewater, New Jersey.
