Nighttime Road Work on Interstate I-95 from the Mass Border to the Maine Border

Safety Improvements will be made to the highway over the next nine weeks.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin nighttime road work on Interstate I-95 from the Mass Border to the Maine border, both northbound and southbound, starting on Sunday evening, July 30, 2023.  The project includes replacing the existing paint pavement lines and gore lines with an inlaid durable pavement marking (polyurea). This work will also include restriping the Open Road Tolling (ORT) lanes at the Hampton Tolls, as well as the gores at the toll booths. The ORT lanes will be closed during the installation of the inlaid durable pavement markings for the safety of the contractor and traveling public.

Weather permitting crews will work Sunday night through Friday mornings, from approximately 8 pm to 5 am, for the next nine weeks ending on approximately Friday, September 29, 2023. This work will be completed using a moving operation with arrow boards and impact attenuators around the road work operations. Lane closures will impact motorists temporarily during the work hours.

Message boards and traffic control devices will be used to direct and inform local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/
