Route 16B in Jackson to Close for Two Weeks

Work will require closing a section of road to replace a culvert.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin a culvert replacement project on Route 16B in Jackson on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 7 am.  The work will require closing a section of the road, 375 feet north of Wilson Road, for 12 to 14 days.  During this time traffic will be detoured via signs onto Wilson Road, trucks will be detoured onto Carter Notch Road.

Road work will continue after the closure period when flaggers will be used to maintain an alternating single lane of traffic during the daytime.

The closure is necessary to replace a 48 inch corrugated metal culvert with an 8 foot span x 5 foot high precast concrete box culvert. J.P. Sicard of Barton, VT is the contractor for the Project.
