Spaulding Turnpike Lane Closures in Dover

Closure Necessary for Roadway Maintenance

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces continued road and guardrail repair on the Spaulding Turnpike - NH Route 16 in Dover, NH. This work requires lane closures on both the north and south bound sections of the Spaulding Turnpike, just north of Exit 9 in Dover and south of the Rochester Toll Plaza for the next several weeks.

Beginning Monday April 12, 2021 at 6:30am northbound travel will be reduced to one 12-foot lane between mile 14 and 15 for approximately two weeks.

After the northbound work is completed, road repair operations will shift to the southbound section where travel will be reduced to one 12-foot lane. The southbound lane reduction is expected to begin the week of April 24, 2021 and is anticipated to be completed and reopened to two full lanes on or before May 21, 2021.

Variable message boards and construction signing will alert motorist of these changes. Weather permitting, crews will work Monday through Saturday during daytime hours to complete this project. Motorists are encouraged to remain alert and drive safely in construction zones, following all posted signs.

Severino Trucking, Inc. of Candia, NH is the Contractor performing this work for the Department of Transportation.
