Work on Route 16 at the Rochester Tolls

AET construction work will require lane closures and will impact traffic starting Monday, November 28, 2022.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will be closing one lane just north of the existing Rochester Toll Booths, in both the northbound and southbound barrels, for approximately two weeks starting on Monday, November 28, 2022, to construct concrete roadway slabs and support equipment for the new All Electronic Toll (AET) system.

Weather permitting, the work will begin at 9:00 am in the Northbound Lane on Monday, November 28, 2022 and 9:00 am in the Southbound Lane on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Motorists can expect moderate delays during commuting periods.

The work is part of the Dover-Rochester 29440 AET project. RS Audley of Bow, NH is the prime contractor for the $23 million project, which is scheduled to be completed in June, 2024.
