DBE/ACDBE Supportive Services Program

DBE/ACDBE Supportive Services (SS) Program is administered as part of the NHDOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise/Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE/ACDBE) Program. The purpose of the Program is to provide training, technical assistance and services to small business and DBE/ACDBE certified firms with the goal of increasing their capacity and potential for contracting opportunities in the transportation related trades.

Requirements

All certified firms are automatically eligible for the Program. Priority assistance is given to New Hampshire based firms that work in the transportation related trades in the state. DBE firms that fall under other categories outside of the transportation industry will be accepted based on availability of funding.

Types of Assistance

A variety of training programs and technical assistance is provided by the Supportive Services (SS) Consultant to assist DBEs in meeting their needs and goals.

An intake interview is required with the SS Consultant who will provide the support, at no charge, in one of the following areas:

  • Insurance and Surety Bonding
  • Financing and Financial Planning
  • Accounting and  Recordkeeping
  • Credit Restoration and Management
  • Strategic Planning and Business Plans
  • Proposal Writing and Marketing
  • Contracting and Job Costing
  • Understanding Contract Requirements & Specifications
