Roadway Section
The Roadway Section of the Bureau of Highway Design develops projects identified in the State’s Ten-Year Transportation Improvement Plan (TYP), major roadway projects on the Turnpike system, and assists with roadway approach work and traffic control components of projects led by the Bureau of Bridge Design.
These projects typically include public outreach, Public Hearings, environmental protection and permitting, and the development of construction contracts. Roadway Section staff designs and develops projects with NHDOT staff and oversees the design of projects by Consultant Design firms.
